Seeking Seratonin?
October 11, 2025
- Connection - You may walk in as an independent but before
you know it you’re part of an extended family. You’ll meet role
models, like minded individuals and some of your very best friends!
Isolation and loneliness is easy to fall into and hard to come out of.
Whether you're introverted, extroverted or somewhere in between
by showing up you’re making outside connections a vital part of
your day! - Self Esteem - Looking ‘better’ = feeling better right? A common
belief system often adopted from social media, family members,
gyms and more. CrossFit is more than a look, it’s skills, strength
and growth, adopting a mindset where your goal isn’t constantly
revolving around shrinking yourself. Stepping into class consistently
is committing to your happiness and giving your brain a new reason
to train. - Science - A moment for serotonin (aka the happy hormone). We
like to remind you about the unique flow of intensities throughout
CrossFit training...here is an extra special benefit. Acute exercise
increases the circulating level of serotonin in the body. The best
part is there has been shown to be an increased connection to
boost in serotonin when the performed exercise is ‘high intensity
training’. Just by showing up you give yourself a boost!
